What can I expect to get out of therapy?
Beyond addressing specific concerns, therapy can also help you develop healthier coping strategies, improve relationships, strengthen self-awareness, and build confidence in navigating life’s ups and downs. Over time, many people notice they feel more resilient, empowered, and able to approach challenges with greater calm and perspective.
Ultimately, therapy offers a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore what matters to you, heal from past hurts, and create meaningful change in your life.

Do I need to see both a therapist and dietitian at Beyond Measure?
How can I get started?
How long does it take to feel better?
The length of therapy also depends on your goals, the symptoms you are coming in with, the type of therapy being used, and how consistently you’re able to attend sessions. At Beyond Measure we have a variety of therapists who treat different conditions using various evidenced based treatment modalities. Some of these treatments have a structured approach intended to be completed within 16-24 sessions, while others are more based on processing, self-reflection and growth, or changing relationship dynamics without a set timeframe. What matters most is that therapy offers a safe, supportive space to work through struggles at your own pace, and your therapist at Beyond Measure will be regularly checking in to make sure the process is helping you move forward.
How can I know if we are good match?
During the first few sessions, notice whether you feel heard, respected, and understood, and whether your therapist’s style feels like a good fit. Therapy should feel like a collaborative partnership built on trust. At the same time, it’s important to remember that feeling connected doesn’t mean therapy is always comfortable. Growth often involves exploring painful patterns and doing the hard work of change, but it should always happen within a space where you feel safe and supported.
If at any point it doesn’t feel like the right fit, we welcome that conversation and are glad to help you find someone who might be a better match within our team or outside of it.
