Matt Arnone, MS, RD
Matt deeply enjoys working with individuals of all ages who haven’t been well served by traditional, often generic, messages about nutrition and health. This includes people whose mental health concerns impact their appetite or eating (such as depression, anxiety, or from side effects of medication), folks with intellectual disabilities, individuals who are neurodivergent, or those who simply haven’t found previous experiences with dietitians to be helpful.
He views an individual’s relationship with eating to fundamentally be one of self-care. He is passionate about dispelling nutrition myths and helping people of all ages gain freedom and flexibility in the way they experience food, eating, and their bodies. Often described as being kind but firm, he brings a sense of humor and directness to his practice.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, watching UConn men’s and women’s basketball (go huskies!), and laughing at jokes of almost any quality, especially his own.
