Cassandra Dias, AMFT
Her clinical work integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family-Based Therapy (FBT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Health at Every Size (HAES)-aligned care, with a strong emphasis on culturally responsive, affirming, and inclusive treatment. Cassandra values collaboration and psychoeducation, and she works alongside clients to build sustainable coping skills while cultivating compassion toward themselves and others.
Cassandra’s therapeutic style is attuned, relational, and compassionate, grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful vehicle for change. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from Palo Alto University and completed her practicum training at the Palo Alto University E-Clinic and the Children’s Home of Stockton, a short-term residential therapeutic program (STRTP) serving foster youth in San Joaquin County.
Since completing her graduate training, Cassandra has worked primarily in higher levels of care treating adolescents and young adults with eating disorders. In addition to direct clinical care, she has held leadership roles within PHP, IOP, and residential treatment programs, contributing to multidisciplinary collaboration, program development, and quality improvement initiatives. Cassandra is deeply committed to creating a therapeutic space that feels safe, affirming, and empowering; she partners with clients and families to support meaningful, lasting growth. Cassandra is supervised by Dr. Salena Schapp, Licensed Psychologist (PSY29619).
